The Machine Stops Opera Premiere

I had the wonderful opportunity to compose my very first opera at the UofT, alongside fellow composers, Patrick McGraw, and Robert Taylor. Set in a dystopian world, the opera ‘The Machine Stops’ imagines a future where technology has taken over, and humanity worships it at their peril. Based on E.M. Forester’s famous short story, The Machine Stops premieres at 7 p.m. on January 24th in McMillan Theatre at the UofT. I could not be more excited! Expect a recording and video footage to be posted as soon as I have it.
