Deflexion, Summers & A New Era
I've spent the last decade working as a contemporary music composer, sound artist and producer. The launch of Deflexion and the name, Summers, marks a new chapter for me as an artist, as I branch out in genre from my existing background in contemporary classical music.
Deflexion is:
An 8-track lo-fi and synth-filled EP that combines dreampop and datawave
Created using warm analogue synthesizers and vintage drum machines
Influenced by 1980s-1990s electronic music and the 2010s vaporwave movement
Inspired by retro game soundtracks like Final Fantasy 8 and Donkey Kong Country
Comprised of sonic landscapes to listen to while you drive, browse online, vibe through a gaming session, and more!
I've already been working hard on the tracks, and am so excited to share with you all this important new period of my artistic career.
